Guillermo Nava

A native of Chino Hills, Calif., Guillermo Nava reports that his experiences in Iraq have, for the most part, made all the other problems in his life that much easier to overcome. After a little over four years with the U.S. Marine Corps, Guillermo is now working with Northrop Grumman in Redondo Beach, Calif. Guillermo joined Northrop Grumman in September 2007 and greatly enjoys his position as an engineer. His duties include inspecting equipment he had personal experience with on the battlefield. Guillermo thanks Operation IMPACT for its commitment to and passion for helping the severely injured transition into the workplace. In a note to the Operation IMPACT Recruiter, Guillermo had this to say: “I truly feel that because of you I have a future. I felt like I wasn’t going to be able to get back on my feet once I found out that I was being forced to retire. The Marine Corps was a dream job to me, that was all I knew how to be, and I didn’t see how any of my skills could be used in the civilian world. Now I have a great job that I can actually see myself doing for a long time and it was because of your help, thank you.” Northrop Grumman is privileged to have Guillermo Nava onboard.
