The Northrop Grumman Foundation's purpose is to provide support for education opportunities to our nation’s youth. The foundation is committed to supporting diverse and sustainable programs that create innovative education opportunities. Our priority is to provide assistance to national-level science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) programs spanning pre-college through collegiate levels.
Grant Guidelines
The Northrop Grumman Foundation contributes to organizations defined as tax exempt under Section 501(c)(3) by the Internal Revenue Service. Proposals should address education related initiatives that promote the advancement of science, math, engineering and technology.
The foundation does not consider the following requests:
Individuals
Fundraising events such as raffles, walk-a-thons, banquets or dinners
Religious schools or colleges whose primary focus is to promote religious beliefs
Athletic teams, support organizations
Advertising or underwriting expenses
Capital Campaigns
Endowments
Tuition
Choirs, bands or drill teams
Grant requests are accepted throughout the year, but are reviewed late in the calendar year for funding the following year. Organizations may only submit a request for financial assistance one time in a calendar year..
How to Submit a Request for a Financial Contribution
Grant requests should be submitted using this web site. To apply for a grant, you will be asked to enter the organization’s Tax Exempt Number, which will be automatically validated with the IRS database. You also will be required to include the following information in your application.
