Tim McMahon is the Northrop Grumman Corporate Lead Executive (CLE) for Colorado Springs and Vice President of Strategic Programs.
As a CLE, Mr. McMahon is responsible for developing and maintaining corporate relationships with key customers in the region, including U.S. Northern Command; North American Aerospace Defense Command; Air Force Space Command; Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Armed Forces Strategic Command; and, the Missile Defense Agency. He promotes and coordinates the business activities of 1,200 personnel assigned to six of the corporation’s eight sectors supporting customers in the area, and represents the combined capabilities of the entire corporation to customers in the Colorado Springs region.
Prior to joining Northrop Grumman in 2003, Mr. McMahon completed 32 years of service with the Air Force, primarily in space and missile operations. In his last position as commander, Twentieth Air Force, he was responsible for the planning, operations, logistics, security and support for the nation’s ICBM force. Prior to this post, he served as director, Nuclear and Counterproliferation Matters on the Air Staff at the Pentagon. Prior to that, he was Deputy Director, Combat Operations and Logistics for U.S. Strategic Command.
Mr. McMahon received a bachelor’s degree in history from Quincy University, and a master’s degree in public administration from Golden Gate University. He is a distinguished graduate of the Industrial College of the Armed Forces, and he completed the Advanced Management Program at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Business.
