Scott Stewart

Scott Stewart is the Corporate Lead Executive (CLE) for the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIRSYSCOM) located in Patuxent River, MD. In this capacity he is responsible for developing and maintaining corporate relationships between Northrop Grumman, local military commands and the community in the Patuxent River area.

Stewart serves as the principal corporate point of contact with NAVAIRSYCOM Program Executive Officers, Program Managers and Naval Air Station Patuxent River / Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division commands. He is the focal point for promoting and coordinating the activities of all Northrop Grumman sectors supporting business and community interests and represents the combined capabilities of the entire Northrop Grumman Corporation. Scott provides customer support to all Northrop Grumman Programs at NAVAIR and is also responsible for all Northrop Grumman community activities in this region.

Stewart joined Northrop Grumman in 2006. Previously, he was a career naval officer and aviator with more than 25 years of experience in all aspects of Naval Aviation. His NAVAIR tours include Program Manager of Air-to-Air Missile Systems and Chief Engineer, F-14 Programs. Stewart spend most of his naval career “operational” in three F-14 squadrons, his last as Commanding Officer, Fighter Squadron Two. While serving in the U.S. Navy, Stewart accumulated more than 3,300 hours of flight time and 875 carrier landings in F-14 Tomcat aircraft.  He retired from the U.S. Navy in 2006 as a Captain.

Stewart earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD; and a Master’s degree in National Security & Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College, Newport, R.I. He is also a graduate of the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School and the U.S. Navy’s Fighter Weapons School.
